How to Vote
Register to vote
If you are not registered to vote in advance, you can register at the time of voting.
Election BC's Provincial Voters List is the official list of registered electors for local government elections.
Use Election BC's online voter registration system to:
- register to vote or check if you are already registered to vote
- update your voter registration
Register to vote or update your information
Non-resident property electors can register when voting by filling in an application, available at the voting place
If you are 16 or 17 years old, you can register now to be automatically added to the voters list when you turn 18.
Vote identification
To register to vote at the time of voting, you will need to show proper identification.
Non-resident property electors will also need to show proof of property ownership.
